I do overhear stuff like that in the gym which is just a bastion of health knowledge.

A lot of men apparently think eating a ton of unhealthy food is fine as long as you do enough weight training.

I guess it's also manly to have man-t i t t i e s and a gut from not eating healthy or exercising.....lol

The ironic part about this thread is that eating vegetables actually RAISES testosterone levels, so if anything it's "unmanly" not to eat them

This is probably the same type of guy who can't satisfy his woman enough in bed because his fat ass loses breath in like 3 minutes.....hmm better eat those veggies and get to lifting.

Today during lunch, I had a coworker comment that I "always eat so healthy." She went on to say that she wished that she could convince her boyfriend to eat vegetables. Apparently, he doesn't like to eat vegetables and considers them "unmanly." I guess that I have never considered healthy eating to belong to one particular gender, but if you think about it, most food commercials targeted to men are more centered around meat (think... buffalo wings, bacon, BBQ). It makes you wonder if some men are afraid to incorporate vegetables into their diet because they fear that it makes them appear feminine (quite strange if you ask me).

Do you consider eating vegetables to be "unmanly?"

Don't let them drag you down. You will be so glad in about 20 years when the manly start dying off for silly food diet reasons and you are in great health for eating your veggies.

Garbage in garbage out. Eat junk food and ignore the veggies and you will have a big gut and not look masculine at all. same way for the women.

hmm....rather be manly than get sick lol..

That said, I think much of what we deem normal in modern society is just the liberal elite/intelligentsia saying as such. Many people DON'T eat healthy on a regular basis, kind of figures given how high KFC and Subway's revenues are.

Your coworker's boyfriend is an idiot. I could expand upon this as to WHY that's the case, but I don't think it's necessary.

This, pretty much.

In all seriousness, I wonder what else some "macho" men will consider to be "unmanly".

WTH?

That guy is an idiot.

Real men eat bitter vegetables like collard greens.
