Tri-tip- a cut of beef. I didn't know this was a regional item until some friends from Georgia visited and we barbequed some. They had never heard of it. Might not be regional anymore?

The only regional thing I can think of is Ale-8-One...

Yeah, the filling is marshmallowy. Didn't even realize that this was regional - they're all over the place here..

My mom makes woopie pies but she uses marshmallow fluff for the filing. Is fluff a northeast thing? mmmm.... fluffernutter sandwiches! yummy!

I visited your fair city for the first time 2 years ago. Went down to Primanti's and had one for their fabulous french fry sandwiches and washed it down with a couple Iron Citys. Yum!! Can't wait to try the Roethlisburger the next time I'm in town!

I'd recommend going to Fathead's next time your in town. I'm ashamed to admit I'd never had the Roethils-burger. However, Fathead's is a much more established place with a huge sandwich/burger menu and a large micro brew selection. Their "South Side Slopes Headwich" was named a top ten sandwich nationally in a men's magazine (I believe it was Maxim). Here's a pic:

From Buffalo, NY... Beef on Weck (a hard salted roll), with horseradish, and of course real wings, accept no subsitutes when it comes to wings, there are plenty of "Buffalo Style" places out there, especially down south, and they suck... soaking in a soggy mixture of who knows what... real wings should be on the drier side... "oogle" for more information. Also, Bison Dip and Grandma Browns Baked Beans.

I like scrapple too, as well as Sahlens, Malecki red hots, and Sabrettes... natural casings of course. mmm mmm
