Love home brewed unsweetened iced tea, nothing added to it, the only way I like it.

Black coffee and unsweetened tea drinker here. There must be a ton of us, I've been seeing more and more unsweetened teas for sale in the stores. I've also been known to drink hot water, it seems odd to people but on a winters day I don't want a cold glass of water...

I generally prefer my coffee either black, or with a bit of powdered creamer (lactose intolerant). I have never had Starbucks and have no interest in what I refer to as foo-foo coffee!! I have tried tea many times and just cannot develop a taste for it either hot or cold. But a good cup of hot coffee in cold weather or even when it's hot - hits the spot for me. I don't use any sugar or sweetener in it either, and no instant either.

I love unsweetened ice tea. Here is what I do. I take a glass pitcher and fill it up with ice cubes. Then I put make six or seven ice tea bags in the pitcher and the I pour boiling hot water over the tea bags and then let it chill in the fridge. So delicious. I love to be able to taste the flavor of the tea not masked by sugar.

I usually place a tea bag of Oolong tea in a glass container, a Voss water bottle, overnight. Very refreshing with no sugar.

My mother is the reason I drink unsweetened coffee. The way she made it when I was growing up was 1/3 coffee, 1/3 evaporated milk, and 1/3 sugar. I took one taste when I was five or six, and didn't drink coffee again until I was 25, and a guy served me black coffee for breakfast one morning. It's one of my great food memories, and I send him a bag of coffee every year from the place where he buys his coffee (McNulty's in Greenwich Village).

The worst thing in the world is "flavored" coffee. It tastes like Glade smells.

Coffee is supposed to be Strong, Dark roast, and with nothing added. No sweeterner and no lightener like cream, milk etc.

Real coffee dissolves plastic cups and can be used as paint remover.

Us real coffee drinkers have never tasted tea. that is some form of coffee substitute and should only be given to puppies, kittens and butterflies.
