I went to the grocery store and they were out of most of the produce so i had to get what i could. I ended up with a green tomato. I have never had one. Can i slice it like a red one and put it on a burger or salad?

Also I picked up Extra Firm Tofu. Never had that either. Any ideas to make it taste good?

Where the hell do you live that your grocery store ran out of food?
Back when I lived in Mother Russia, there were days when all they had was bread or mayonnaise or beets.
But in America?

They didnt run out of food- just produce. First time i have ever seen it. No eggs, NO fruits, veggies. What was left was moldy, smashed or things people dont normally grab, like green tomatoes.

You could fry the tomatoes, it's a southern specialty that even had a movie made out of it

Methinks that You have to find a better supermarket. I know that some of the food selections in Ohio and Kentucky are limited but ...

Fried green tomatoes are great on a burger, not so great raw, they can be sliced and grilled also. I like firm tofu, seasoned with some S & P and Chili powder and then grilled, served with some asian BBQ sauce and sticky rice.
