reduced fat sour cream tastes pretty much the same, the no-fat version is nasty.

Ick. It has a weird, gelatinous quality.
Russians put sour cream on everything. Nobody will touch that stuff, even on doctor's orders.
It's blasphemy.

off the top of my hat I would say 1000 Island dressing and some veggie burgers. Other than that, a lot los fat, low sugar or diet foods are ok, but they are not going to taste exactly the same. I wasn't thinking about drinks, only actual foods.

I don't even like the low fat or low fat cream cheese: the consistency is not right and they do not do well when used in cooking.

The 100 calorie Greek yogurts made by Yoplait are pretty good.

Big Red Zero tastes just like Big Red (a regionally popular soda).

Sugar free gummy bears taste just like the real thing, although you can only eat a small amount.

Nothing tastes as good as losing weight feels, when you really need to lose weight.

Diet carrots are just as good as normal ones.

I will only drink Diet Coke, do not like Coke.
I will only drink Bud Light/Corona Light, do not miss full-calorie versions.
I love Lean Cuisine spaghetti, even over restaurant spaghetti.
I will only buy nonfat refried beans, anything else just seems weird to me.

Soy ribs taste like "the real thing?" That's absurd.

If I decide something is unhealthy, then I eat or drink less of it, rather than use a substitute.

Unless the substitute is as good or better. There are some cereals I prefer with soy milk (but only the brand of soy milk I like). I think Pacific ultra soy and Westbrae are good on corn flakes and some granola cereals.

I had some chocolate almond milk that was pretty awesome once. But that's about it.

I'm all about taste and texture and like WoodstockSchool1980, I'll either just eat less or pass than have an inferior "diet" version of something I like. Especially when it comes to dairy.

As far as stuff I shouldn't be consuming anyway... Diet Dr. Pepper doesn't taste exactly like regular Dr. Pepper, but it's probably the closest to the "real" thing of all major brands. Diet Sierra Mist is acceptable as well. There is no "reduced fat" chip that's close to the real thing.

My wife has to control sugar intake. Other than Edy's and Breyer's, it seems like all the other ice creams don't do a "no sugar" version without also making it "nonfat". And the texture of nonfat ice cream is just horrible. Not to mention we often need a jackhammer to get it out of the carton.
