Are you looking for a food product you can no longer find, and want to find the closest possible substitute? I'm hoping we can refer each other to what we crave. Another discussion I just responded to, about favorite candy, has left me gnashing my teeth because you can no longer find Hershey's Cacao Reserve Extra Dark Chocolate Bar with the Cacao Nibs at ANY price. This was a 65% dark chocolate, not too sweet but sweet enough, with finely ground unsweetened cacao sprinkled in -- absolutely to die. I find that other really dark chocolates are TOO dark, without enough sweetness, so they taste like potting soil -- and they never seem to have the nibs. Can anyone point me at a reasonable equivalent of this late, lamented candybar?

It's a sand-grain-sized piece of unrefined, unsweetened cacao bean, in this usage.

Nobody has an answer for me? And nobody else wants to find a replacement for a food they can no longer find?

The only food I would like to have that is not made any longer is Circus Fun Cereal.
It quit being made in 1986 because it was so bad health wise it killed a bunch of lab rats in 30 days or less.
I miss that cereal.

Yikes, what was in it that was so horrible? Yet tasty and fun to eat?

I used to eat yogurt for dessert (that's how much I enjoyed it) but these days I hardly buy it. Breyers Yogurt was discontinued and I haven't found any yogurt with the flavor and texture.

Is this thread about finding replacements for lost loves (culinary ones), or just that chocolate specifically?
