Hi everyone!

Only three more days until my 25th birthday! I started the outline for my cake decoration today. After work tomorrow I will fill in the rest. I'll post some more of the creation tomorrow... then on Friday with the entire cake. So excited that I might have to make an album on my City-Data profile of the festivities!

Tomorrow I have to get a paint brush.

I want to thank Charlygal for sending me the videos. They have been so helpful! Though, I have one question. This is going to be bigger than a round cake (my work printed it bigger), so I'm going to need to do a sheet cake. I wanted to dye the cake batter... half of it purple and half of it blue. Can I layer it together in a sheet cake pan and have them cook together?

Did you reverse the image? You will flip over the the icing sculpture after it's done.

Yes. You can put two colors in the same cake pan. You'll need something wide enough to keep the colors separated while you pour the different batters.

Oh no, I didn't for the words. I'll erase the words and draw again.

Awesome, thank you for the video. Tomorrow I will get something wide enough for the cake.

Looks great so far!

You should put your hair up when working, otherwise sometimes hairs get in the icing and don't show until you cut the cake.

That's a great idea! I am finishing up the logo today, so I will put my hair up. I'll also wear my hair up for when I mix the cake. I'm making the cake icing from scratch. I'm excited for that. Thank you.

The person is Monoxide from the music group Twiztid. That's the logo. One of my favorites.

Oh, I finished the logo last night:

I'll be making the cake tomorrow as well as the butter cream icing. Hard to believe tomorrow is my birthday!

People at work also brought in a cake for my birthday as well.
