I'm only asking this because it is posted in the vegan forum.

Would you date a vegan?

Sure. As long as they accept that I have no interest in becoming vegan or vegetarian, and have no objections to me eating meat.

Sure, as long as no major attempt in converting me is made. If he decided to cook the majority of meals in the beginning and I enjoyed and perhaps loved his cooking, he may even win me over. One of the best ways to this girl's heart is through her stomach.

Probably not a vegan, way too many restrictions for us to every have a good time going out to new restaurants and whatnot. Plus the whole "animal rights" thing tends to be a buzz kill. Vegetarians I'd have no problem with.

This.

You would never be invited over to someone's house for dinner.

Date - maybe. Marry - probably not. I am not really crazy about the idea of shopping and cooking for two so different diets. Even going out pose some challenge, despite the fact that most restaurants usually have few vegan and vegetarian dishes on their menu.
Not to forget that being omnivore, carnivore, vegetarian or a vegan determines our beliefs. Most vegans/vegetarians I know always try to sneak some propaganda, and try to convert others to veganism. Almost like Jehovah's Witnesses...

I think the difference between a carnivore and a vegetarian is smaller than that between a vegetarian and a vegan, in terms of how much life disruption one can expect. Not dissing the vegan lifestyle though - I admire their convictions.

Did you also know that in terms of time, Cleopatra was born closer to Neil Armstrong's step on the moon than to the construction of the Pyramids of Giza? Your random irrelevant fact of the day .

Yes I would, unless they are fanatical about it then it would be a deal breaker.

Hmmm, I just had a hankering for a couple of pieces of bacon and cooked some. Makes me wonder how a live-in veggie partner would handle the smell of cooking bacon and my devouring the delectable pieces of porcine.

Dating would work okay but the next steps, now I am not so sure about.

sure, a butcher dating a vegan, a match made in heaven

a dated a vegan once, our first date was a pigroast , didn't go over well

Id have no problem with her choices/lifestyle, as long as she didn't have an issue with mine-which seems to be an impossibility- at first she asks me to be open minded, which I am,,,but she couldn't handle me eating protein
