I wouldn't. It's too difficult. What may not seem like a big deal at first, quickly becomes one when you're making two different dinners every night, or the omnivore is the one constantly compromising. Because it's always the omnivore who compromises. After all, an omnivore can eat vegetables and fruits and grains, but a vegetarian or vegan will not eat meat. And, because the vegan or vegetarian thinks it's no big deal to not eat meat, the omnivore's compromises aren't even really appreciated. It's like, "what's the big deal? The food is good without meat."

I have a friend who was vegan and dated an omnivore. At first they were all zen about it, and accepting of one another, but eventually they both got fed up with making two different meals all the time, and he definitely got fed up with being the one to compromise. Now, in her new relationship, before they decided to move in (knowing how difficult it turned out to be in her previous relationship), she and her boyfriend compromised together - she went from vegan to vegetarian, and he went from omnivore to vegetarian. It's something they're both able to live happily with and it makes home life so much easier.

I was a vegetarian for four years, but I wouldn't be willing to go back to it. Meat-eater all the way.

Probably not a vegan as I'm fine with cooking vegetarian meals and enjoy them sometimes but vegan meals are just too restricted. But it would get a hassle after a while because I love meat and I enjoy cooking for other people but my vegetarian meal knowledge is rather limited (and even more limited by my dislike of certain vegetables)

Use make up and hygienic items that were tested on animals, or use drugs or had a life saving surgery with the components being tested on animals before humans.
For so many it's a choice made for health reasons and has nothing to do with animal rights. I love the vegan diet. I only did it for a month or so because of my partner's health. You have to learn the tricks of dining out but Indian and Chinese restaurants make it super easy.
