I saw a commercial for the Early Bird Dinner Special at a popular American chain restaurant. 14h00 - 16h00. $7.99
Are you kidding me? Supper at 2 in the afternoon? I usually haven't had breakfast yet!

Early bird dinners are usually targeted toward the senior crowd. I can assure you that most of the folks living in my parents' retirement community eat their last meal of the day no later than 5, but usually a lot earlier. My folks usually have a light breakfast, and one heavy-ish meal around 3 or 4.

Different strokes for different folks.
I start most days at 5 am, complete my work around 2 pm and eat my big meal at that time. That way, I can take a long hike and be completed before dusk and eat a very light meal around 7 pm.
Lunch prices are much less expensive than dinner prices and the restaurants are a lot less crowded.
Well, then, I guess I'm glad I don't even know what this is ...

They're also called Sweet Tomatoes in some places. Its basically just a salad bar, but they also have some soups, pasta, and bread too. And a baked potato bar.
