This is a terrific video. My favorite lines are
"This is why white people are so healthy"- LOL

"Is your skin lighter because you eat chocolate?"

I'm amazed that people work all their lives farming something and only have rumors to work with about what it gets used for!!!

It's sweet that innocence still exists in the world. I bet they aren't slaves to cable TV and the internet either.

Another great post by no kudzu (sorry can't rep).
That is a bittersweet story (no pun intended). 2 Euros for a chocolate bar while they earn 7. To think that these
farmers and their parents and grandparents who have worked to support their families and never had the chance to
taste the fruit of their labor. One would think, that a company or someone would have given them some chocolate.

This is amazing. Reminds me of when my sister, a nurse, went to Kenya on a medical mission to bring medical services to a number of villages. In return, the villagers normally provided the health workers with a meal but this particular village had no extra food. My sister broke out an economy-sized pack of chocolate chip flavored energy bars she'd brought with her from the States which served as the meal. She shared one with the Kenyan man who was guarding their camp. Later he asked her if she had any more of "the small sweet cakes."
The things we take for granted...

The ending is awesome. How the workers were saying it was a privilege to taste chocolate. I gotta stop taking things for granted.

Give them some? Most companies have no problem using kidnapped CHILDREN to pick their cacao beans.
These kids never tasted chocolate and have no idea what it's used for.
I only buy Fair Trade Chocolate.
