Same here. I try it every now and then just in case my taste has changed over the years but....nope. My husband likes it though so I buy a quart or two once a year just for him. Nice for him that it is available in a lactose-free version....

You can buy reduced fat eggnog. I did & it tastes just as good as regular eggnog. I only buy low fat chocolate milk as well.

I love eggnog but usually get the light from Luzerne Farms. Tastes great, even the light, with a dusting of nutmeg and a little Ma Dou Dou or Rum Jumbie.

I like the Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice eggnog - but only one market here sells it

Sucks that is only available at one time of the year though. I'd drink it all year round.

I usually buy it at the store, but started making my own this year since it's so simple.

I use this recipe and it's awesome:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 6 cups milk
  • 1 tblsp vanilla extract
    • I have bourbon vanilla, so it's not quite as strong as regular, scale back if you dont like this much
  • a few dashes of nutmeg and cinnamon
  • optional - alcohol - spiced rum, etc
Dump all ingredients into the blender and let it mix for a few seconds. Super easy! Made it for my holiday party last weekend, and everyone loved it.

I usually cut mine with some skim milk (or super skim). It makes it a little less creamy, but at least it's lower in calories!

I like eggnog. Even though I can drink it "full strength", rich and thick, the last few glasses I've been thinning it out with milk.

I like to get it at Christmas, but my feeling is if I'm getting it once a year I want full fat, balls out, eggnog. We like to thin it with rum or bourbon.
