Chicken Pot Pie.

I'm a very good cook and I thoroughly enjoy everything to do with cooking. I don't claim to be a "chef" or that I make the "best" anything. However, as with everything in life, there are always exceptions. I do claim to make the best Chicken Pot Pie the world has to offer. It's my one claim to greatness and the only thing that I'll ever brag about. It's my most requested dish and I've had to make them by the dozens for other people or for events that I agreed to make them for. Chicken Pot Pies are not typically a common summer food but I get requests for them year round. As a matter of fact, I just made them less than a week ago for someone in my apartment building. Below is a picture I took because someone wanted to see it. It's not a good picture, but I'm not the best photographer the world has on offer!

Thanks for enduring my shamefully immodest, one post a year of tooting my own horn on such a small, insignificant thing!

I love a good meatloaf and homemade mashed potatoes!

Dressing with lots of shredded white meat chicken (cooked the southern way with non-sweet cornbread) is another one of my favorites.

Also large Lima beans cooked with Conecuh sausage (local brand), served with cornbread

Everything in moderation. My mom was raised on it and died when she was 95.

Grilled cheese made with leftover homemade bread and a bowl of creamy potato soup. I almost can't wait for cold weather just to have this meal.
