Love instant mashed potatoes, but rarely make them.

opened a can of chicken noodle soup the other night for my kids, and I made Ramens last night - both are sick with strep throat, and I did not have anything else "easy on the throat" to make them At least I added shredded chicken to the Ramens and only used 1/4 of the seasoning packet! Made me feel a bit better about serving it up, ha ha!

Not usually a fan of "instant" stuff...but, in a pinch, I don't mind:

I usually don't do anything instant- not puddings, potatoes, (yuck) or coffee.....
Only thing I have used if necessary is instant rice- not too shabby

When I need to make clam chowder on the fly, I use this and love it.

I sautee garlic and onion with two slices of chopped, uncooked bacon. I drain two cans of chopped clams into a measuring cup and add water to equal two cups. When the bacon, onion, and garlic is done, I ad the clams and sautee a few minutes.

I then add the clam juice (two cups) and six more cups of water, bring to a boil, then add the Bear Creek Potato Soup.

Add about a tablespoon of cayenne pepper and it is almost as good as my grandmothers!
