Default Christmas Menus........

I would love to read about different food plans for the holidays. I like to cook ahead so I don't have too much work to do the last 2 or 3 days before Christmas. Here's my food plan for this year:

Christmas Desserts/Goodies (made 5 days ahead)

Pecan Fudge
Chocolate Pecan Rum Balls
White Chocolate and Cranberry Almond Bark

Pistachio Ribbon Bars
Pecan Praline Bars

Oatmeal Walnut Raisin Cookies
Red and Green Sugar Cookies

Mother's Sour Cream Pound Cake
Cheesecake (this year it was Four Layer Turtle .....Ummmm GOOD!)

Pumpkin Bread chock full of raisins and walnuts for quick holiday breakfasts!

3-4 days before Christmas - I prepare the following so I don't have to cook again until Christmas day! There's plenty of variety so all the meals aren't the same and we have plenty for lunch sandwiches as well.

Spiral Cut Honey Ham
Smoked Turkey

Macaroni and Cheese
Sweet Potato Casserole
Potato Salad

Cauliflower Pea Salad
Broccoli Salad

Cranberry Salad

Fresh Rolls

Our Christmas Day menus follow:
On Christmas eve (today) I do the small amount of prep work the following takes so the meals are easy.....

Brunch:
Baked Omelet Squares
Spicy Sausage Rounds
Monkey Bread

Dinner:
Mandarin Orange Salad
Crab Bisque
Prime Rib of Beef with Burgundy Mushroom Sauce
Garlic Potatoes
Green Beans Elegante
Yeast Rolls

We always have mushroom/celery bread stuffing and potato filling and mashed potatoes. We have to have all of them because each of my 4 children have different tastes....I get a little tired of peeling potatoes - but it's all worth it!
