yes counter space and cabinets are really what I want... and a dishwasher. I've pulled draws open before, and stuck a cutting board ontop of them in order to have more space to work with. We have about 3 feet of countertop space. Most of that space is taken up by the toaster oven and coffee maker. The few cabinets we have are full, the mixer is on top of the refrigerator, the cutting boards are on top in the silverware drawer and the pizza stone and baking pans are kept in the oven. I've had to refuse gifts of cooking gadgets that I would love to have just because we don't have the space for them.

Money no object? Hey, I'll bite. What I'd like is a log cabin in the Sierras to cook my dinner in. I would enjoy my dinner so much more there!

Sous Vide Supreme.

They're not even that expensive. I guess my priorities are messed up.

A stove with elevated elements so that I could use a real wok with a rounded (not flat) bottom.

Also unlimited milk so I can go to town making yogurt, cheese, creams, etc.

I bought an Eastman 65,000 BTU wok burner for my wok cooking. Of course, I have to cook outside - but I have no problem getting that authentic wok hei flavor .

If money were no object, I'd want:

* A Vita-Mix
* A chef-grade gas stove
* Restaurant-grade cutting knives with the magnetic holder, along with chain mail knife gloves
* A set of All-Clad stainless steel pots and pans

1)I got a ricer for making smoother mashed potatoes. I've lived this long without it but seems like it will come in handy for fruit sauces, etc. it has 3 different blades
2)I also got some crocks for French onion soup
3)Another set of soup bowls- we eat a lot of soup in the winter
4)some fresh new white waffle kitchen towels
5) set of three colanders

the total was $149 with tax and free shipping

I don't have any cast iron items but at this point not sure I could even pick them up. Same for those fancy super expensive cookers baked in enamel.

So what would you order if you had carte blanch gift money?
A chef.
