I mean that's what my parents gave me as a kid, but if I ever had a kid, there's no way I'd ever be giving that garbage to them. It only takes 10 minutes to cook some quick eggs, make some toast, cut up some fruit, and dole out some plain yogurt.
You're on the right page, but also recognize that not all food should be limited to just breakfast. Sometimes I wake up in the AM and make me something more hearty, pork sausages, veggies, sip of wine. I don't limit my meals to specific foods at specific times, I think that's unnecessary.

We eat very little cereal. Breakfast is usually some combination of Irish oats, hard-boiled eggs, peanut butter or avocado toast, leftover quiche or pancakes from the weekend, bagels with cream cheese, breakfast burritos, Greek yogurt, fruit, and veggie links/patties. Served with milk, tea, or coffee. Once a week, I drive the kids to school and treat them to breakfast out at either Einstein's or similar. This morning we're having a spinach and mushroom strata with home-made pico de gallo made from the last of our garden tomatoes.
