I'm not a fast-food guy to begin with. But the lies!

I could care less about the Whopper! How about you?

That Wendy's double-burger filled with cheese and jalapenos! I was on the road and got into my hotel late in Pittsburgh and had to eat something. I'll admit that the picture of it looks ok. So I ate it. My stomach wasn't pleased.

It reminds me of that movie, Falling Down. Do yourself a favor; drop the chalupa!

Why are the commercials always better looking than the actual food? I agree-keep it,I don't like it.

I know what you mean. My Dad and I were running to the store the other day and we were both starved!!! We couldn't help it, and stopped at a McDonald's for a quick cheeseburger. It was the first Mickey D's I've had in a very long time. It tasted good because I was so freaking hungry, but I wanted to send it all back up the way it came when I was done.

If you "could care less" that means you DO care.

(it's actually "couldn't care less" lol)

Food photography is a big deal. Before "food" is photographed it's created and sometimes it's created from non-food ingredients. Poultry might be browned with a torch instead of roasted so that it keeps all of its plumpness and doesn't lose it's smooth skin. The plumpness probably came from injected ingredients. I found sugar on a turkey label recently. WHY does a turkey need to have its breast meat injected with sugar??

HOT POCKETS® brand stuffed sandwiches - Products (http://www.hotpockets.com/calzones/products/products.asp?ID=412#10767 - broken link) If you click on the second photo down on the right you'll see a perfectly cut Hot Pocket with rounded pepperoni sticking out of the slice. Clicking the image brings up a larger pop up. That can't be done! When we eat real food we avoid almost all of these ridiculous lies.

I watched a show on TV once about how they prepare food for the photo session. It takes several hours to get the photo just right. It was about photographing not just fast food items but TV dinners and other foods. It was interesting about how they plump things up to make them look bigger, meatier, juicier, etc.
