Try to always have a jar on hand. Sometimes I can eat it all in one day, sometimes over the course of weeks. Definitely one of my must-have's.

I have never known anyone outside of Scandinavia the brInes their own herring....a few navy vets that will eat kippered herring...but that is about it. It's about two steps up bring lukefisvk.
