Did you know that lobster used to be a poor man's food? In the 1800s, there were so many of them off the coast of New England, that it was not uncommon for several to wash ashore after a storm. People would collect them and eat them and make sandwiches out of them.
I'm trying to imagine the days where living in Maine, we could walk down the the sea shore, collect several dozen after a storm, and eat like kings -- only then kings didn't eat lobster.
I would love to have a seaside house with a private beach that lobster and crabs washed ashore on. Wow. I do have a customer in Mystic, CT, her husband is a Greek and owns a fishing fleet, they have a dock and lobster pots. I would trade lives with her!
I love lobster claws the best, but when I eat a lobster, nothing goes to waste. I do love Maryland lumpmeat crabcakes too as a close second.
I thik lobster is over rated, I would rather eat crab legs.

I think basically meat was always more of a luxury than fish, though I guess it depended where you lived.
