fried cabbage with bacon is sounding really good! (but I've got only enough cabbage for the corned beef...)

Thumbs up Best Bacon

Just received a Christmas gift of a couple slabs of bacon from Ozark Mt. Smokehouse and sliced off a couple pieces and wow; it is super.

Now looking at receipes for different bacon uses.
Goin to make Green Beans/bacon; grandmother used to make this and it's great.

Beans/Bacon etc.

Happy trails,

HW

My favorite bacon dish is bacon and egg salad sandwich.

Make egg salad the nuevo way with barely hard boiled eggs (some yoke still soft and dark, some fully cooked) well chopped, finely chopped onion, chopped capers, salt pepper and Hellman's mayo to consistency.

Bacon thick sliced and cooked crisp laid on top of egg salad.

All on lightly toasted bakery Ciabatta.

Yum!

Well...if it was a Christmas gift why not go to town with it for New Year's Day and make a bacon french dip. Roast the beef and make a jus flavored with bacon and cognac. The sandwich can be all bacon or half thin sliced roast beef and bacon in a nice toasty french roll.

Cut a slice of regular thickness bacon into 3rds. Take 1 piece of that & wrap around a Lil' smokie. Put toothpick thru it. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake 375* about 25 min. OMG To die for.
Use parchment paper or foil cause they will stick to pan, bad if you don't.
Almost a pound of bacon to 1 pound of smokies.
Around 1 cup of brown sugar or a little more.

Made these this past Sat. They vanished. Everyone just loved them.

ENJOY Bacon Lovers :-)
