don't tell my grandmother because she was way ahead of her time nixing the nitrites but I love bacon anyway....

....best way = RUMAKI = bacon wrapped around prawn and water chestnut and bamboo shoot, broiled until bacon crisp and prawn tender, mmmmmm

alright i m going to go to the store now, bye

Ahhhhh.... my 3 main food groups: Pepsi, mint chocolate chip ice cream, and b a c o n.... When I was a kid, which is still going on, my favorite sandwich was/is:
raisin white bread, thin slice(s) of tomato, creamy peanut butter, and b a c o n hot off the pan to make the peanut butter melt. Mmmmmmmmmm good! :-)

I am up north visiting my mom and I finally got to eat the infamous peppered bacon that she buys that I crave!!!!!!!!!! JACKPOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Careful there because in some areas of the country rumaki is bacon wrapped chicken livers. BLECK.

The prawn version does sound much more appetizing! Bacon IS the fairy dust of the food world as Jim says, but it does have its limits IMO.

To those who like chicken livers and of course, bacon, here is a recipe for a traditional Hawaiian Rumaki
