The Chessmen are good but if you like butter cookies try Walker's shortbread, they're even better. Ingredients are wheat, flour, butter, sugar and salt. Nothing else.
Yes, Walker's Shortbread is the best. It really takes the cake, er, I mean cookie.
Walker's shortbread is so overpriced, though. We were in Scotland, and brought a ton of shortbread back, because it was so dirt cheap, compared to buying it here.
I think I'm the only person who doesn't like Milanos. The texture of the cookie portion is off, to me. It's, I don't know...almost sandy in texture. Y'all can have all the Milanos. When I am presented with the "Entertaining" assortment, those are the last to go.
I don't like Milanos either. They're too soft and cakey. I like crisp cookies.
