We use a 6 qt and it's perfect (just my wife and I). We love leftovers.

I have a oval 6 quart one and use that all the time, but I cook for three and use leftovers. It came with a small half quart crock pot that I usually use to keep sauces or gravy warm, but mostly I use it to simmer aromatics and herbs to make my house smell good.

No, I am not talking about the 3 in a row, that are all the same size. My granddaughter has one that is 6 qt but can also be used as a 3 or 4 qt I think. How many of you have one or have seen one and what do you think?
Never heard of it. I guess something like this? Hamilton Beach® 3-in-1 Slow Cooker - BedBathandBeyond.com

I can't find one with pictures, but they seem to be highly rated. That's probably easier than having 3 different crocks & aluminum liners. Sounds like it might work well for you.

Some of my friends were talking about the one that you can put on the stove...I looked at those too, but utimately, I like my simple, non-electronic knob, 6-qt. I love being able to make enough food for the week with something left over to freeze.

I wonder why good ol' WallMart does not carry it any more. Buy it somewhere you can easily return it, play with it and then make up your mind. Seems to run around $55.
