Leftovers, cooking up some chicken thighs right now on the stovetop.

Had a cesear salad with chicken, made that for lunch tomorrow. Feels good to be productive and have my lunched prepared in advance.

This is the second night of cicada cacophony of the season, yet I'm serving winter food. It was a gorgeous day.

Beef stew for me and mussels for him (both pulled out of the freezer), with fresh bread I baked today. Salad also.

We had fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. Hello, carbohydrates, fat grams and grease! I didn't cook it, though. My aunt invited us to a neighborhood "country cooking" restaurant.
