That is an American Classic.....I like it for lunch......but when growing up it was frequently served for supper back when we ate a large noontime meal and a light supper on the weekend.
Nice sale at the grocery store so tonight we're having:
Lamb shanks with roasted garlic/dill baby potatoes
Tuscan white beans, pear/gorgonzola & romaine salad
Filled apricot cookies for dessert.
panko breaded pork steaks, mashed potato and broccoli I just made a NE style clam chowder and had some for lunch....it will be available to start supper as well if anyone wants some.

I found some more of that "the butcher saves it for himself" hanging tenderloin the other day. Two pieces of it, actually. I'm going to pan-cook one of them in a bit of olive oil until it's medium-rare and then savor the heck out of it. (Maybe a few French fries on the side? Yeah, why not. And some grape tomato and avocado salad.)
It came out very good....my DP had some for his lunch and enjoyed it. It was clam and scallop chowder because I found about 6 scallops in the freezer and thawed and cut them and added them....so delicious.
Praline, I will save you a bowl.
Homemade vegetable fried rice for both of us but hubby will have grilled salmon filet as well. I have a nasty cold and really can't taste or smell anything.
Even less than usual - a whole wheat pita with healthy-style margarine, a strawberry-banana non-fat Greek yogurt and a mug of tea with a teaspoon of sugar.
