New England clam chowder served in sourdough bread bowls. The salad that I made yesterday with Belgian Endive, Romaine, dried cranberries and Gorganzola cheese etc. (better the next day)

Was looking forward to more of my delicious apple pie I made yesterday but just saw it is covered in those damn tiny black ants! The girls covered it with tin foil last night but they should have put it in the fridge. I'm so mad!
I'm feeling fairly lazy this evening. Dinner will be: an antipasto meat and cheese platter, shrimp foil packets for the grill (shrimp, mini corn, potatoes) and a bottle or two of Veuve.
Barbecued country-style pork ribs prepared on the grill, baked beans and coleslaw. How I wish corn-on-the-cob was in season - I have a hankering for some.
