Chinese tonight, we had Bbq pork chow mien,sweet and sour pork and kung pao chicken. Pretty standard but was really good and I may go back for some late night snacking.
the girls made grilled cheese sandwiches, chips and pickles so they could head out the door for trick or treating. We ate ours on the front porch by "pumpkin light" so we wouldn't have to get up every time a kid came by.
Went to a Halloween party last night, and I'm paying for it this morning! No, not a hangover (I only drank diet pepsi), but I overdid the nacho's and chili cheese dogs, followed up with Halloween candy and a piece of caramel turtle pie. I may never eat again.
We're having a boneless rib end pork loin roast later on. It's thawing right now. I've got to make my 'special' marinade for it soon.
Towards the end of the roasting time, I'll add some cubed potatoes and carrots to the roast. Mmm! Perhaps a few shrooms fifteen minutes before the roast comes out of the oven. I always use water in the pan, it ensures that the meat will be fork-tender.
Steaks on the grill, roasted asparagus with parmesan and garlic, oven roasted potatoes with sour cream, sauteed mushrooms and some kind of rolls.
