My husband bought this home for me as he knows I love all kinds of seasonings. I was looking at the bottle when I noticed stamped in the same ink as the expiration date on the lid area that it stated:
THIS IS NOT CANDY!!
Who on earth would think this is candy? And did they get calls from angry people who thought it was? *Picture below is for showing what the bottle looked like, not my actual one.*
Anything that is printed of foodstuff or in restaurants that makes you wonder what prompted it?

It expires Jan 2011? WTH is your husband trying to do to you?!
They also say not to fold up strollers with kids still in them. Some people are stupid as heck! LOL
Looks like a fuel additive........I'm also one of those stupid people. Sometimes I'd like to fold my teenage kids up in a stroller! (joke)
That's not my actual picture, I grabbed one off the net. Should have clarified. I was showing how the bottle looked. lol I tasted it, it's actually really good. Dried chili peppers and dehydrated lime.

The lime and chili combo is not unheard of in Mexico for candy. I had a coworker that often brought in hard candies like this. ..or a chili seasoning specifically to but on orange slices.
Maybe in Mexico they sell candy in similar little plastic bottles. I've got to say, though, that I can't see where it would hurt a kid to eat a bottle of Tajin powder. It's chili and dried lime crystals. Nothing in there is deadly, unless the kid swallowed the plastic bottle. Even that wouldn't kill him, but might involve an expensive surgery to remove the bottle.
OP, if you grill, try sprinkling a bit of Tajin onto a pork chop and cook it on the grill. Very nice. It's made to go on fruit, but I am not so keen on using it for fruit, but love it cooked on meat.

There's one for fruit. This one is for meats. Not sure what's the difference but can't wait to use it. I love chili and lime together. I will probably use it this weekend on some pork I have in the freezer.
cb got it right....its about liability and not being sue'd
didn't TIDE come under fire because the packaging of laundry detergent looked too much like candy???
and there you have it
My cousin is a chemist in this industry and told me they have to add something to detergent products to induce vomiting to try to prevent kids from ingesting enough of it to make them sick. They factor that into their formulation.
But yeah, CYA. Years ago my son's Superman cape came with a warning that it would not allow my child to fly, I kid you not.
