Red meat has been linked to cancer for decades, with research suggesting that eating large amounts of pork, beef or lamb raises the risk of deadly tumours.
But for the first time scientists think they know what is causing the effect. The body, it seems, views red meat as a foreign invader and sparks a toxic immune response. read more

Connections between red meat and cancer have been made for years and years. Scientist have revealed why people who eat a lot of red meat could be possible cancer victims.

Research teams said, that the body acknowledges red meat as a foreign invader and the immune system releases a toxic response. The alarm set by the immune system in the organism, leads the body to produce antibodies that cause inflammation which could ultimately transform into cancer.

We're not designed to eat just red meat. We're designed to be omnivores. We're opportunists (historically). If we killed a monkey- we ate it. If we dug a root- we ate it.

We eat red meat maybe twice a week, the rest is poultry or pork. It is what it is. If the meat doesn't get me the cigars and bourbon will.
Face it, you're gonna die from something. Might as well be braised short ribs.
