Are you buying fresh produce, dairy, eggs, and meat from eBay? That might be a little odd...
This and fish, are pretty much all I buy when I grocery shop. Do the online grocers have organic? Do they have grassfed beef and dairy from grassfed cows? (No GMO corn in grassfed cows.)
No, not weird. I used to be able to do that when I lived in civilization. Groceries, fresh produce, everything delivered to the doorstep. Now that I live in Indianapolis it's not an option.
How do you get the fresh things delivered? I'd love to have meat and dairy delivered to me, but our local stores do not deliver. I know they do in some areas, but am hoping you have an online place that does it everywhere
I use Peapod and FreshDirect regularly. Still go to the grocery store for some things we can't get that way. Still buy eggs at the farm around the corner. Still patronize three different farmers' markets, two that close after local produce is gone but one that sells 10 months a year. Still go to the fish market for anything from the sea. Costco for lamb and lox and some other fresh products, plus frozen that isn't available elsewhere.
Whew! Never realized how many places we count on. But I would say 50% of our food budget is now spent on the two delivery services. With frequent free delivery specials, it's so much easier to fill a cart online than at a "real" store. Doesn't take much less time, but with a bad back I really appreciate not having to wander the aisles.
If you have access to grocery delivery and haven't tried it yet, I would certainly encourage you to give it a try.
Perhaps the OP doesn't eat fresh food at all and live on cookies?
If you buy food online, how can you know the expiration dates?
