Knowing your taste in food from City Data, I think you would love it! Here is a link. I have never heard of using Kale. I use cabbage. If you want a specific recipe, I have one. There are others online.

I did not read through all of the responses. I wonder if anyone can tell me what the difference is between flat cut and point cut corned beef brisket. Which is the more tender cut and which should I buy to cook in the crockpot??

Point cut has more fat, so it is juicier and more tender than a flat.

Thank you! Still can't rep you, but thanks. I expect that's the more expensive cut? I never remember from year to year, so I usually buy the more expensive one.

Definitely the Point this year.....if I can remember by next week, lol

I like an Irish Stew. Lots of root vegetables, potatoes, and herbs, with a thick onion and mushroom gravy, served with Irish soda bread.

I might do a cottage ham boiled with cabbage, green beans, and potatoes this weekend. I don't know how Irish it is (certainly more Irish than corned beef ) but my Irish-American grandma used to make it all the time.
