Seems like there would be at least one website out there to back up your claims.

Again you keep talking about speciality items on a menu as if they are the norm. Normal cheeseburgers/hamburgers are much smaller than America.
And normal hamburgers/cheeseburgers in the US are smaller then their "specialty burgers"... But they still have the quarter pounder on a few different sandwiches. I'm not really sure what your point is...? They sell a lot of the same items. You tried to prove with a fried fish/chicken sandwich topped with spaghetti that McDonald's outside the US are somehow better and not as bad for you. Its still fast food. Yeah, they have items we don't. But just because its in Japan doesn't make a fried shrimp sandwich any better then it would be if sold in the US.

Several observations:

1. I haven't ever heard anyone claim that America is the only country with an obesity problem. I've heard a lot of talk in America about America's obesity problem, but that seems to make sense because it is relevant and America does in fact have an obesity problem.
2. "Blaming McDonalds" doesn't imply that anyone forced anyone to eat at McDonalds. It just means that the prevalence and popularity of McDonalds play a significant causal role in the obesity epidemic. "Blaming" in this sense refers to causality, not culpability.
3. People being surprised at the US only being number 8 is not the same as people thinking being eight on the list isn't bad. One can be both surprised that we weren't higher and amazed at how fat we are.

Plenty sites back my claims. You won't find them on the English side.

See this is your problem with assuming things. A normal McDonald's hamburger/cheeseburger in Japan is smaller in size than one in America. This is a clear fact. You can't seen to get pass constantly trying to compare specialty burgers as if they are normal burgers in Japan. I made my point very clearly. I also never said they didn't sell some of the same items but those items will not taste the same. I clearly said you will find items on the menu that wouldn't be found in America.

I also never said it was better, that is your assumptions. I said some of the food tend to be not so greasy and food size is smaller. You can't argue that I am wrong about it. Portion sizes are regulated by the government so everything will be smaller unless you eat at a westernized restaurant. The pictures I posted was clearly to show items on the menu that you normally wouldn't see in America and never once did I say it better and not so bad, again that is your assumptions.

You guys should just look at the actual nutrition facts for McDonalds Japan and McDonalds US. Here are the calories in some of the sandwiches for each:

Japan
Loco Moco Burger: 595
Tonkatsu Mac Burger: 407
Big Mac: 557
Shrimp Fireo: 400
Chicken Crisp: 366
Mack Double: 434
Chicken Fireo: 467
Quarter Pounder: 559
Double Quarter Pounder: 828
Double Cheeseburger: 484
Teriyaki Mac Burger: 509
Bacon Lettuce Burger: 401
Cheeseburger: 324
Hamburger: 275

US
Bacon Clubhouse Burger: 720
Bacon Clubhouse Grilled Chicken: 590
Bacon Clubhouse Crispy: 750
McChicken: 370
Buffalo Ranch Chicken: 370
Bacon Buffalo Ranch: 440
Bacon Cheddar McChicken: 490
Southern Style Crispy: 430
Filet-O-Fish: 390
McRib: 500
Premium McWrap Southwest Crispy: 670
Premium McWrap Southwest Grilled: 510
Quarter Pounder: 520
Double Quarter Pounder: 740
Cheeseburger: 290
Hamburger: 240

I've listed about all of the Japanese sandwiches, but there are far more from the US that I didn't list. The menu was just too long and I don't care enough. It is interesting that the US quarter pounder, hamburger and cheeseburger all have fewer calories than their Japanese counterparts.

What is crazy, however, is that this kind of food is popular anywhere. I can't imagine ordering a double quarter pounder combo meal with fries and a coke on any regular basis.

You guys should stop arguing about the irrelevant details of McDonalds US and McDonalds Japan -- I posted calorie counts above. Portion size doesn't matter unless it indicates a difference in calorie counts.

Yea McDonald's is like a hangout in Japan and you would find lines going out the door just to eat there.

I agree with you. I don't why that person is even trying to argue about things in Japan and make assumptions about things I never said
