Every time I think I have a favorite bread I try something else, and that becomes my favorite bread.

If I had to choose, I suppose it would be an everything bagel followed by Pane Toscano, probably the simplest leavened bread possible.

I very seldom buy any bread except from the store bakery. For white bread we like the sliced Italian from Publix bakery, and other than that, we like any heavy dense artisan bakery bread. In other words, if I'm eating it, it should be worth it.

Challah with raisins . . . OMG heaven. Everything bagels (any kind of fresh delicious bagel) is my kind of bagel ;0)
Good crusty Italian bread good for dipping in soup or mopping up sauce!

There was a store here that used to have frozen pane toscano shipped in from an Italian bakery in NJ. It was so delicious. Then the store closed.

Still can't find a good Italian bread around here, they are all "enriched". I hate those breads! Have an extra Italian loaf on me!

I'm the proverbial manslut when it comes to bread. I like them all.

If there was one I needed to be monogamous with it would have to be fresh baked foccacia from The Genova Bakery.

And don't ask me to decide what kind of foccacia

Cranberry sunflower seed. It has a huge swirl of craisins baked in and it's sooo good for sandwiches, just that little touch of sweetness to offset the cold cuts and mustard.

Also the same bakery makes a great rosemary bread that I like a lot too.

Corner Bakery in Tysons Corner, VA--ugggggggh I would live in McLean just to visit them and eat their food.
Maggiano's isn't really considered a bakery (???) but their bread is to die for with their dipping oil. Same goes for Cheesecake Factory.
Wish they sold that bread!!

for everyday bread, I get an olive semolina boule that I love. But for decadence, there's a Korean bakery near me that does a killer brioche walnut raisin honey loaf. It's almost a cake, it's so light and tender.
