No, YOU shut up! Just teasing.

We learned to make this in junior high cooking class.
Thanks for the reminder. I used to love it.

Another tip: If you pre-cook pepperoni between paper towels in the microwave, it removes a lot of the fat, and they get nice and crispy.

Oh man. Homemade pizza is the bomb if you make it right. Nice puffy crust, lots of filling and baked to perfection. It's almost unfair that it's cheaper.

Your version isn't particularly healthy, either.

But it has less carbs and I can control the saturated fats. No? I mean, I know, it's not a plate of broccoli but still... Tell me I'm going to live, doc.

It's healthier than the traditional version.

Much healthier than real pizza but it tastes just like the real thing!
I do not believe you. No way could it taste like the real thing. I does sound like it could taste alright...maybe, but not like a pizza.

I will try it with the lower carb tortillas. I am really a thick crust girl, but I'm really trying to cut out flour and sugar in my diet, so I'll give it a go. I will probably use a jar of Mid's pizza sauce. Sometimes I make pizza sauce with a can of tomato paste and a can of diced tomatoes, but I usually go with the lazy way.

I use a lot of vegetable toppings and pre-cooked diced chicken (leftovers, or a breast that I grilled just for the pizza). I also use either jarred spaghetti sauce (I like Prego or Classico), or basil pesto and I smear it very thinly on the crust. My favorite combination is pesto with chicken, chopped artichoke hearts, and sundried tomatoes with a pizza blend shredded cheese.
