Just wanted to get back here and say that the Super Bowl party we went to was AWESOME. On the buffet (Chinese buffet) was sweet & sour pork, General Tso's chicken, cashew chicken, beef with broccoli, orange beef, roast pork fried rice, shrimp fried rice, vegetable fried rice, beef lo mein, spicy wings, egg rolls, spring rolls, two kinds of soup (egg drop & wonton) and lettuce wraps. (I know I'm probably forgetting something.) It was a massive spread.

The couple hosting really went all out. In additon to the above, there were various dips (hot and cold) along with assorted crackers and cut up raw veggies, and for sweets there were mini pecan pies, mini cheesecakes and assorted brownies.

There was a total of 16 people there, 13 adults and three teens. A total success!

I hope everyone else on here had fun too.

I made some pretty awesome chili - and it was so hot that I couldn't eat it! At least a couple of other people enjoyed it.

I went to Costco, the place was like a tomb. No samples even.

I picked up Chinese food, that place was a tomb also.

I hosted a party with my buddies, only to see the "fail bowl". What a load of crap this game was .

Well, we had enchiladas, sundried tomato flavoured chips, vada pav, mint pulao, mango juice, soda, and most importantly THE CAKE .

Didn't eat much. Really enjoyed the company and hospitality though.

the game was a dissapointment

the nba, baseball, they all do more than one game in their playoffs, so they can have an off night and still win...not the superbowl, one game, thats it

Yikes no samples! That's my favorite part of Costco!

Default Superbowl finger food

I'm looking for new ideas for my Superbowl party. I usually do 2 hot items (wings with various sauces, and bacon wrapped smokie links). I have several cold items, cheese & crackers, chips and dips and make your own lettuce cups. I also have small dishes of chocolates and peanuts throughout the room.
The party is usually for 10-12 people. I like make ahead dishes that I just need to heat so I can enjoy the party too. Also I would prefer finger type foods that people can serve themselves.
Any suggestions?
