Damn! So mad that I just now saw all of these. Oh well I guess I'll just make them for the next party.

Default Super bowl foods

Are you prepping for the Super Bowl? If so, what foods?
My wife and her sister are big football fans and are going to make hot wings. I'm not a wings fan. I'll be having homemade chili with buttered cornbread. Snacks will include original Fritos w/dip, popcorn, and peanuts in shells. No alcohol for us. Coke, water, milk, and or hot herbal tea. Locally some families have boiled crawfish. Since Mardi Grad is this Tuesday, many families are having king cake for dessert.

I went to a Super Bowl party one year. As we walked in, the host asked me which team I was for. I asked him who was playing. Boy, that cost me some man points. At least I know who's playing this year (I think). Just another day for me.

I don't do the Super Bowl. Ever. Or any football. I was smart enough to marry a man who is similar.

I do make football game-style snacks!

I love warm dips with triscuits, tortilla chips, pita wedges, including Buffalo chicken dip, Rotel dip, parmesan artichoke dip. I love cocktail weiners/smokies in tangy sauce (several different recipes). I love nachos, chips and salsa, sliders, pulled pork in the crock pot, chili, etc.

I am a huge football fan. Even though my team was bounced (Pats) I will watch.
We are spending the day skiing so food needs to be quick, easy and fun.
It's only my little family watching together. We will have carne asada nachos with all the fixings. Strawberry milk for the kids, Budweiser for the husband and probably Allagash White for me.
Go Panthers!! (like I could ever cheer for a Manning led team)

Sunday here will be no different than any other day and whatever I feel like cooking is what I will cook. I will go to church in the morning and more than likely crochet the rest of the day.

Going to a big party and was asked to bring homemade bread and going to make deep fried black eyed peas. They are good to munch on while watching.

Alton Brown has a lil vid on them, youtube.(IIRC) I put Cajun seasoning on them when they come out of the fryer. Spicy and salty.

As far as the bread, just simple pizza dough rolled into small loafs. Then when cool i'll just slice 1/2" thick, put a lil olive oil on with granulated garlic and salt. Simple, but people like it.

America's team will win by 6, due to their defense.

Yes, the Denver Broncos are America's team now!
