Hi Everyone,

I don't know about you, but I am a huge football fan. I love the Super Bowl! Just wondering what people have had/will have at any football/sports watching parties!

I am not sure what we'll do....in the past we've had pulled pork, burgers, pizza, subs, wings......just looking for something maybe a bit different. Maybe beer brats and kraut!!!

This was always a hit a my super bowl parties. You need at least 4 chickens cut up.

Mix flour with salt/pepper/garlic powder. Dredge chicken pieces in flour. Brown well in frying pan, put in large roaster (funny but the black/white speckled ones work best). Just load pieces in. Cover and bake at 225 for 5 to 6 hrs. It's so sticky and yummy-I would have a ham, sausage/peppers, meatballs, salads and that chicken roaster would be cleaned out!!!

Well I am not a huge football fan but love the food and the commercials lol. My husband watches so I make up food. In the past I have done BBQ'd mini sausages, veggie platters, chips and dip, hot wings, wraps etc. I was thinking maybe chicken con queso dip this year, maybe sub sandwiches, not sure yet.

How about a good hot crab dip or hot artichoke dip? (For apetizers).

Or those small meat balls that you just throw in a crock with grape jelly and chili sauce. It may sound like a funnny combination, but is actually very good

I think I will make a spinach-artichoke dip, a veggie tray, chips and dip, cole slaw or mac salad, and then my BF will smoke a pork butt and we'll have pulled pork BBQ sandwiches.....

I make a mean salsa dip, heres the recipe;

3 bricks cream cheese, softened
8 oz sour cream
32 oz jar of salsa, whatever you care for
mix all together with a mixer, careful when blending in the salsa, serve in bowl, garnish with cilantro, tortilla chips on the side...... beware of stampede! This always a hit.

For a picky appetizer - couple of tins of whole waterchestnuts - a pack of toothpicks/cocktail sticks - one or two packs of thin bacon. Cut slices of bacon into about 3" pieces. Wrap around individual waterchestnuts and secure with a stick.
Place on a baking sheet and bake at about 400 for about 15-20 mins - they will disappear in a flash. Fiddly but delicious.

We usually have Hamburgers or some type of barbecue.

And for the snacks:
Party Mix, Cheeze It's, Peanuts, Doritos, etc.
