The art of compromise. Hopefully, this will continue with their marriage and the vow of death-due-us-part is honored and not the convenience of divorce.
Nice compromise, but I'll still lament the preponderance of men-children today who remain enamored of comic book characters and cartoons.

I don't see the problem with it...my husband has always loved comics....doesn't make him a "man-child" and he passed the interest on to our now grown daughter ....there are a few series I like though I am not into them like they are.
You don't have to like things others do....but try to refrain from being an insulting and judgemental jerk about it.
This cake is brilliant....I hope that mindset of fun and shared interests and acceptance of each other lasts for a long time for them.
It said the baker spent 40 hours on that cake. Probably would have been easier to just have a groom's cake with the superheroes.
Not everyone does the tradition of a groom's cake....and if the wedding wasn't huge that just might be too much cake....so rolling it into one statement cake might make the most sense.
