Love Blue Bell as well...just like regular strawberry, nothing fancy.

I loved Haggen Daas until they sold it. They no longer make my favorite flavors which are vanilla ice cream and raspberry sorbet and vanilla fudge. Today it is much sweeter and a lot less rich. Fortunately, I am not an Ice Cream lover and so I only buy a pint about 4 times a year.

I like Blue Bell the best.

However, all ice cream is good, even the store brand.

Yes. They make it in Georgia as well.

Edy's is good. It's the same thing as Dryers sold to people east of the Rocky Mountains.

I had Breyer's Vanilla Bean last night for the first time in ages. It wasn't nearly as rich as it used to be. I wonder if they downsized the butterfat when they downsized the package. Has anybody else noticed a difference?

I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but the best chocolate ice cream I've eaten to date is Blue BUNNY.

Oh my goodness yes! I actually go way back. I was a kid in the 50's, and one of my uncles worked for Breyer's. It was his job, for every family dinner (like Thanksgiving) to bring Breyer's Vanilla ice cream to go with the pie That ice cream was heavenly. I remember years ago when the formula changed to the much less satisfactory version of today.

True! The Kroger brand has some good flavors. I like their chocolate with a cherry ripple. Very good.
