Another vote for Ben & Jerry's. We took a tour of their Vermont factory a few years ago ... good tour, but the best part was the free samples at the end!
Current favorite: Willie Nelson's Country Peach Cobbler ... yum!
Blue Bunny is good too, but no one else here is a Turkey Hill cult member like twista
Turkey Hill, and maybe Archer Farms, are the best of the "larger container" brands. Edy's was slightly better, but they're really playing games with the stuff now. Their products that used to be "ice cream" are magically transforming into concoctions called "Frozen Dairy Dessert". Of course, they make no mention of the changes on their containers. You get the pleasure of buying it and then saying, "What the hell is this garbage"???? "What happened to my ice cream here"??????
I can't say that i'm surprised by Edy's under-handedness though. They quietly sold off their very good "Dreamery" line to Coolbrands, who proceeded to destroy it almost immediately.
