This past weekend, I had the best ice cream I've ever tasted.

I had the Dirty Chocolate flavor. Oh. My. God.

I've always loved the chocolate and peanut butter combination.

I melt peanut butter in the microwave and add chocolate ice cream to it. yum

I have noticed that some brands of chocolate ice cream lack cocoa and therefore don't have much flavor (particularly generic) so I get whatever national brand is on sale.

Those look yummy dave nz! I've never seen them here in the US though. My favorite ice cream would have to be Blue Moon or Rainbow.

I love Bluebell Red Velvet ice cream. It's so delicious. The ice cream itself kind of takes like red velvet cake batter. It's got pieces of red velvet cake and cream cheese icing mixed in. So delicious. Thank goodness its only a seasonal flavor though. I need to see if I can find the Ben & Jerrys variety and give it a try.

As for ice cream bars, my favorite is the Klondike Oreo Sandwich. It's cookies and cream ice cream between 2 giant Oreo cookies.

Pssst! Deb! Blue Bunny has Duff's red velvet ice cream. It sounds exactly like the one you described... BUT IT'S NOT SEASONAL!!!

I hadn't had ice cream for years and years and years. Then this summer we were at Summerfest in Milwaukee and hubby and his buddy decided they should have ice cream. (I was perfectly happy with beer.) Hubby buys a double, two flavors, and one of them is cookies and cream. I say "You know you can't eat cookies." (He has to be gluten free). He did this
So guess who "had" to finish the cookies and cream ice cream!!!

By far, the best ice cream that I've had was that produced by the Naval Academy dairy farm in Gambrills, Md., and served at the midshipmen's mess at the Naval Academy. All of its products (milk, cream, ice cream, butter) were the best dairy products I've ever had. But budget constraints led to its closure several years ago, so it will have to be just a memory.
