Hmmm...Moose Tracks. Oh so yummy!

I usually crave ice cream in the winter but haven't been indulging as much, this winter, as I normally have in the past..

I could go for some Haagen Dazs Pineapple Coconut...Or Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey

Ooh. Some Tillamook Marionberry Pie ice cream would sure hit the spot.

I love ice cream - current favorite is caramel vanilla by Eddy's. I don't like nuts in my ice cream or those hard candies, just pure creamy ice cream!

Craving fat and sugar doesn't seem that outlandish. As for the cold, I remember in the 80's in the USSR they had ice cream stands out serving in the middle of winter. It tasted the same. It was just cold out.

I don't eat ice cream though, I'm lactose intolerant. I go with the blended frozen banana approach and then sometimes some sorbet. (Kiwi sorbet is really easy to make at home.)

I've been known to eat entire 1.5 quart containers of the blue bunny no sugar added stuff in one day. I don't seem to gain weight if I avoid high glycemic foods and it's amazingly good and I get at worst just a bit gassy from it, nothing too severe. High fiber, decent protein source, and does not spike my blood sugar. Actually I find the coolness that the sorbitol gives the ice cream to make it taste better than regular sugar sweetened varieties.

Bunny tracks.. just fantastic.. and of course mint chocolate chip, with butter pecan being an honorable mention. I'll mix large quantities of ceylon cinnamon in sometimes to the butter pecan and bunny tracks flavors since it's delicious and good for you.

At around $3.50 for 1500ish calories, it's a very cost effective way to eat, too. Saturated fat doesn't seem to affect me the way the media states. I suspect it's carbs that actually raise cholesterol and not fats.

Me too OP. The other night it was so cold but I had to have my ice cream, so I put the portable heater blowing on me and ate it!

I like to eat neapolitan ice cream cones for breakfast ... but only after I've eaten some healthy stuff (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and whatnot) first, to cushion the blow. It's all about balance – the good must always be greater than or equal to the evil, and you are evil neapolitan ice cream; you're very evil, but I love you anyway. Come here, sugar pie. Let me show you how much I love you...
