What's your favorite ice cream flavor/ brand? Or your favorite ice cream parlor?
I love Haagen Dazs french vanilla for a brand. Favorite flavors: root beer, spumoni, cherry custard. And Trader Joes has a great ice cream sandwich- vanilla in between 2 great, chewy choco chip cookies...
Cold Stone Creamery is good for a parlor. I've heard about Culver's, & when I get to a place that has one, I'm aimin for that frozen custard
I like the ice cream at Marble Slab Creamery better then Cold Stones.
I also really like Baskin Robbins 31 flavours.
I too also like Haagen Daaz alot. They have a flavour that is vanila with ice cream cone chunk, chocolate chips and some carmel, really good stuff. I also like this flavour that has vanilla swirled with black rasberry with chocolate chips. When I am just in a boring mood, I like plain chocolate or the chocolate with chocolate chips.
I tend to like more "artisan " made ice cream and adore Amaretto, Pistachio, and Hazelnut ice cream. Strawberries and cream is lovely too. I also love sorbets ( lemon, grapefruit, orange, raspberry, blackcurrant etc..) .
Of the commercial type of ice cream, I am quite partial to Haagen Dazs "cookie dough".
I like my ice cream not too sweet and with natural flavourings. I hate vanilla ice cream for example which has never seen a vanilla pod.
Store bought has to be B&J's New York Super Fudge Chunk.
I absolutely love Kohr Brothers frozen custard, but the closest location to me is in Boston(2 1/2 hours away)
I love Haagen Daz's Coffee ice cream and the Bailey's one too. I also love Traverse City Chocolate Cherry and Mackinac Island Fudge. Oh and Neopolitian (?) -- the chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla one.
Pistachio is good too!
(However, with all of that said....I am not a huge ice cream fan, believe it or not. I would much prefer say, cake or tiramisu or mousse or a cream puff!)
