Nomadicus,
Blue Bell Creameries is out of Texas. It's a family business that just celebrated their 100th birthday last year. They are now in a few other states also.
Their motto is: We deliver all we can and we eat the rest!!
Tony's Ice Cream in Gastonia, North Carolina. One of those, been around forever family shops which makes its own ice cream. On my list of "places to go" when I go home. Famous for their grape ice cream. I don't know about that, just give me butter pecan or strawberry. When not in NC, Ben & Jerry's Karmel Sutra, is an acceptable substitute.
Being from the south I must say....Butter Pecan Icecream and the best is Wegman's premium Brand believe it or not. Yummy!!!
