Mission has come out with a gluten free "flour" tortilla. I saw the gluten free on the package and thought it was a packaging error, because they sure looked like flour tortillas.
They aren't a bad imatation. The flavor isn't quite the same and the texture is a bit puffy, but you can make a decent burrito as long as the filling isn't too wet.. I've got to tell you what a treat it is to get to eat a burrito.
They also make a good quesadilla. I think the quesadilla is better with a stronger cheese. I liked the Tillamook extra aged white cheddar with some shredded beef and a slice of avocado. Strong flavored fillings draw attention away from the flavor of the tortilla. Tortilla flavor is good, but it isn't wheat, just close. Frying the tortillas in a dry, or nearly dry skillet improves them--as it also does with a real flour tortilla.
I found them at The Cash And Carry (restaurant supply). I haven't seen them in a regular grocery store.
I just go for the corn tortillas, they taste good anyway.
