I love whole-wheat, it makes great spaghetti.

Unfortunately, whole-wheat anything bloats me up and makes me feel very gassy and nasty.

Tetrazzini is my favorite deep dish using cooked spaghetti.
Isn't tetrazzini made with turkey (and therefore not just dairy or vegetarian)?

You can always stir-fry them with soy sauce, garlic, onion and whatever veggies you have on hand. Maybe scramble an egg into it for so extra protein.

Just make it veggie. Also there are many Asian dishes you could whip up. Lots of quick soups as well.

Veggie broth, pasta, all the veggies your heart desires.

You reminded me of a savory snack I used to enjoy at a friend's house. Only ours were dusted with spicy seasonings and eaten like "chips". It was fried in ghee and then dusted with Indian spices. Yum, I forgot about that.

Saute some zucchini, onion, mushrooms, and halved cherry tomatoes in olive oil and a bit of butter. Add in your pasta, toss to mix, and finish with freshly grated parmesan. Done! A sprinkle of fresh basil would be good, too.
