I see so many USDA organic turmeric on Amazon and ebay. But when you email the seller they say it is imported.

How can imported spices have USDA certifification? Anybody goes to India and check how these spices are grown? I am suspicious on the quality of these products

I was not able to see any US grown organic turmeric for sale anywhere. Can someone help me with this?

Also, us grown organic rosemary leaves and nutmeg?

Try Google. My search came up with a bunch of sources.

Hawaii is about the only place in the U.S. where a tropical plant like this could thrive.

I bought the tubers from Amazon a few years ago and have my own thriving tumeric ginger plants growing right now. They grow very well here in South Florida. It might not be an immediate fix for you, but something you could do in the future. Just place them in pots and bring in come winter. Then you can dig them up when you want, and grind them in a coffee grinder. Can't get fresher than that.

*They don't want as much water as you may think. Let dry between waterings.

Rosemary is easy, and this time of year very easy b/c many places sell living plants as mini-Xmas trees. Grow it in a pot and move it inside for the winter, or outside if you live in a warm or temperate climate.

You can grow it in containers indoors. There are lots of sites providing info on how to do this. Here's one:
How to Grow Turmeric | Backyard Gardening Blog

There are also multiple sources for ordering fresh, organic turmeric online if you Google it. Much of it comes from organic farms in Hawaii. We grow it and have it in the grocery stores in the USVI, but it's a different story to bring stuff into the states from a territory than from Hawaii...

Here's one site selling certified organic turmeric just found on a quick Google search:
Red Hawaiian Turmeric

Turmeric is a tropical plant. It's grown in Hawaii, but Hawaiian labor costs are extra high, so if you can find turmeric from Hawaii, it is goig to be costly.

I've grown it in a pot. It is the worst bug magnet that I've ever encountered. Organic turmeric is going to be difficult to produce.
