I have always refrigerated my ketchup, mustard.... never really thought about it as whether liking it cold or warm. Now that I have read this thread the thought is that I do like the colder taste verses warm (sitting out) taste.

I always refrigerate both the ketchup and mustard, but since I don't put ketchup on my ff's just on the side it doesn't cool my ff's off. I am really weird about leaving stuff out that I think should be refrigerated.

Just a little off the subject....my hubby insists on putting pancake syrup in the fridge. I've always put it in the cupboard. Any thoughts on this?

Always had syrup in the fridge. It's how my mom stores it. Never even thought about not doing the same.

funny you should ask. i've always kept it in the fridge because that is what my parents did. but recently i discovered it out at my aunt's house and when i asked about that she was shocked and appalled at the idea of storing it in the fridge.

Buying a smaller bottle and keeping it out seems fine, but for me I'll keep it in the fridge, i just don't use even a small bottle fast enough.

but cold ketchup and hot fries is a bummer. I like the microwave idea too.

No way! Pancakes get cold fast enough w/o cold syrup on there.

That would depend on whether you have the "real" maple syrup vs the syrup that is all corn syrup.

I use the real stuff and so keep it refrigerated. The other stuff can be kept in the cupboards.

I love cold ketchup.. nice contrast to hot fries.

I keep it refrigerated out of habit. It doesn't need to be though..
