I posted on the "what's for dinner" thread, but we had Chicken Carbonnara and crusty bread. Before dinner, we ate a 1/2 pound of Godiva Chocolate.

I made Seared Scallops with Asparagus in a Buerre Blanc sauce for my wife. That with some grilled garlic bread and Chardonnay was pretty good!

Yummm........sounds great! I love seared scallops!

I ended up making Bruscetta for an app and then coconut shrimp, twice baked pots and green bean Almondine for main course. We had a nice Pinot Gris with dinner as well!

Not cooking anything, but my son-in-law took us all to Applebees. I love that 3 course special they have on their menus, where dessert is included! (I ordered the chocolate mousse, of course!).

Default Valentine's Day

I loooove it. It's my favorite holiday. I love the colors, flowers, foods and doing special things for my kids and dh. Some don't. Ok.

Anyway, for their lunches (on the 13th) so far, I've found red, white & pink chocolate covered sunflower seeds and some cool Japanese chocolate filled cookies. I need suggestions for savory that is red, white, and/or pink.

Last year I made Rachel Ray's mashed potato stuffed chicken breasts, buttered broccoli and got some cupcakes from CakeLove (the owner has a show on food network).

In 2007 we had Ina Garten's lemon chicken with croutons.

In 2006, we had Garlic Crab Legs - Allrecipes

Also, we celebrate it as a family, not a couple - any suggestions OTHER THAN pizza or pasta for dinner?

You could make something with basmati pilau/pilaw rice - an Indian rice dish where the grains are cooked in different food colors, so some red, some pink, some white, even some yellow and green!

Usually it is then cooked like fried rice, with spices and additions like meat, nuts, sultanas eggs etc. There's no flavor in the coloring... so you can use it with anything you like

See pic here
